Today, history was made. The first African American president EVER to take office in the White House was sworn in today….and I missed it. This is what I don’t understand: Why doesn’t the University show the inauguration in class? Or, why do we even have classes in the morning of the inauguration? With all of the thousands of dollars that our
University has spent on technology, we would have been able to watch it in literally any classroom on campus. I think if the founding fathers of the University could have seen the inaugurations of former presidents, they would have made it a mandatory thing to watch. Just a little food for thought.
