History was made....so I heard

Inauguration

Today, history was made. The first African American president EVER to take office in the White House was sworn in today….and I missed it. This is what I don’t understand: Why doesn’t the University show the inauguration in class? Or, why do we even have classes in the morning of the inauguration? With all of the thousands of dollars that our University has spent on technology, we would have been able to watch it in literally any classroom on campus. I think if the founding fathers of the University could have seen the inaugurations of former presidents, they would have made it a mandatory thing to watch. Just a little food for thought.

The Universe

Creation

You know what I love about our World/Universe that we live in? I love that we don’t know exactly where everything came from. Obviously me being a Christian, I believe that “God created the heavens and the Earth.” But how? The Bible doesn’t really go into much detail on that little topic. Big Bang? Sure. There’s a lot of evidence to support that theory. What says God didn’t snap his fingers and BOOM the Universe? Wait wait wait, he did it in 7 days right?…..but how were the first few days measured in time before there were literally days? Could that have been millions of our years where Dinosaurs ruled the Earth? Guess that’s just some more questions I’m gonna just have to ask God. (Along with did Jesus ever have a girlfriend. A valid question)

I love thinking about these questions because you can start to connect science with religion. All the time we hear that they are 2 opposites, and I think that they are 2 things that can support one another!! Anyway, that’s my take.

O and I want to go to space in my life, that’s not too much to ask seeing that 110 years ago we couldn’t even fly…..anywhere.
